When the COVID-19 Pandemic hit us hard in early 2020, the world as we knew it came to an abrupt stop. Now with all generations and companies being forced to embrace technology to its fullest capabilities, is working from home, virtual doctors’ appointments, therapy sessions, various court hearings/appearances, attending school, yoga/art/music classes, and getting together with friends and family truly here to stay? My answer is, YES!

Tele Visits (Virtual) are now the go to way to see a doctor quickly. Scheduling an appointment is easy, convenient, comfortable, and confidential. A great way to see your doctor if you can’t physically be there in person, or a required follow up visit, get your prescriptions filled, and to fulfil insurance requirements

Teaching students online at first was challenging, but soon enough, the apprehension got worked out and now is more accepted and tolerated by all. Additionally, there are more colleges and universities offering online classes for both undergraduate and graduate courses making it easier to achieve higher education.

Attending a Yoga class, music lesson, art classes, etc. is now available to all and the classes won’t get cancelled for inclement weather.

Using online technology has made it easy to attend various events if you can’t be there in person due to traveling long distances, weather conditions, or if you are sick. Many people using dating apps utilize all types of video conferencing as a first-time experience to get to know each other before meeting in person. It also provides support to keep long distance relationships alive and strong.
Big News of 2022, The Acquisition by HP Inc.
On Aug. 29, 2022, HP Inc. completed its blockbuster $3.3 billion acquisition of Poly, a provider of videoconferencing equipment, cameras, headsets, and other audio peripherals. The big idea behind it was, combining Poly’s product line with HP’s own portfolio of desktop and laptop PCs, printers, and other accessories. HP, Inc. stated, this will now make HP the go-to vendor for supporting hybrid work models and work-from-home employees. “The rise of the hybrid office creates a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine the way work gets done,” said HP CEO Enrique Lores in a statement praising the HP-Poly match. “Combining HP and Poly creates a leading portfolio of hybrid work solutions across large and growing markets.”
